Life-changing Resources for Survivors of Abuse

My name is Mannette Morgan. I endured emotional, physical and sexual abuse as a child and as a young woman. At 24 years old, after years of abuse, I chose to leave my abusive marriage; I left with two small children, no formal education, and very few options. It took every ounce of courage I could muster to take my children, leave my home, and not return to my abuser who was an adulter and a manipulative narcissist who controlled every aspect of my life up to that defining day. Leaving my emotionally abusive husband was the scariest and the most empowering moment.

I know firsthand how hard it is to recover and heal from a painful past as a survivor of abuse. I also know how challenging it is to put the pieces of a broken life back together and to strive for a better life and healthier relationships.

Today, I can proudly say I have lived free of abuse for 30 years, and I have broken the cycle of abuse in my own family. My children are happy and enjoy healthy relationships absent of abuse. They are my personal legacy, and they serve as an example of how every survivor can break the cycle of abuse.

I personally walked the path of abuse recovery for more than three decades with self-help work, education, individual therapy, group therapy, and reflection. My mission is to Stop the Cycle of Abuse in our society, and I strongly feel this can be done with understanding, education, hope, healing, and encouraging directives. With all the knowledge I have gained I authored a book called Finding Your Voice: A Path to Recovery for Survivors of Abuse.

An excellent book which can help not only survivors of abuse, but all women who are feeling like victims.

Finding Your Voice is a personal, comprehensive guide for survivors of abuse making the journey toward healing. This book isn’t just a self-help book for survivors. It is part memoir and part blueprint for recovery. I share inspiring stories along with lessons and accumulated knowledge and growth. Finding Your Voice leads a survivor toward a path of recovery while providing clear directives, insightful examples, and easy-to-follow exercises—all with a mix of empathy, practicality, and encouragement.

Finding Your Voice and Find Your Voice Workbook provide the ideal methodology to help survivors obtain success in their emotional health after abuse. The Hope and Healing Audio is an excellent additional component to help survivors convert their negative self-beliefs into more positive and empowering beliefs. This audio is designed to be listened to each night as the survivor falls asleep. It gently helps the survivor’s subconscious mind accept new perspectives with more confident self-beliefs.

“Most of us can easily identify physical abuse when we experience or see it. Psychological abuse is harder to identify, being more of an insidious thing that creeps in and destroys self-worth before you even know it's happening. I know because I've been there, and I wish someone had given me a book like this to help me see and understand the damage."

Finding Your Voice is more self-help guide than memoir. Morgan shares anecdotes from her own life as a way to discuss abuse in its many forms. Mostly, though, Morgan shares what she's learned in the form of a guide for identifying and healing the lasting psychological and behavioral wounds.

If you or someone you love is dealing with abuse or its aftermath, this book might be the perfect gift.”

“Finding Your Voice is an astounding book with a clear message – to help those suffering from abuse and to encourage those who have suffered to find their way in life. Mannette Morgan is a very talented writer, and it is clear that she has developed the best proven techniques along with real life experience to share with those in need. The book is written in a very clear and concise manner, and contains invaluable information for the right people to keep with them for a lifetime.

On behalf of everyone suffering, or those that have suffered from some kind of abuse, thank you, Mannette, for bringing hope and a new future to so many people! I wrote a more in depth review over on my blog:
